FULL-TIME – REAL ESTATE LOAN PROCESSOR
EL MONTE BRANCH

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for preparing loan files and submitting them to underwriting, satisfying conditions after underwriting and preparing final loan documents. This includes reaching out to members to collect needed documentation, provide updates, answering questions and arranging final document signing appointments. Assemble complete loan files and document/disclose all information to underwriter to ensure an informed decision is being made. Follow all policies and procedures and stay in compliance with all regulations at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage loan pipeline to keep all loans moving forward. Review loan files and collect needed documentation from members and third parties to prepare files for underwriting. Follow up on appraisals, title and other third party vendors. Review title policies and work with members and Title Company to clear any title issues. Review credit reports for red flags and document derogatory items. Review income documentation and verify/update loan originators income calculations. Collect underwriting conditions once loan is approved. Provide accurate Closing Disclosure to members before closing. Review closing figures with member and set signing appointment to insure a smooth closing. Review accuracy of loan docs prior to being sent out.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Two or more years working in the Real Estate lending industry with a thorough knowledge of the Real Estate loan process. Detail oriented, strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task are essential. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, be able to work well with others and create a cooperative work environment. Working knowledge of Calyx Point, familiarity with TRID regulations or experience processing loans in a Credit Union is a plus. Above average computer skills and the ability to learn quickly is also a plus. Must be able to pass requirements to obtain NMLS license.

Candidate must be willing to work a flexible schedule between 7am and 7pm. The candidate must also be able to handle confidential information with the utmost integrity. Previous cash-handling and telephone customer service with a financial institution preferred. Communication in Spanish is a plus.

FULL-TIME CONSUMER LOAN OFFICER
EL MONTE

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Processing and approving loans in compliance with Federal regulations and credit union lending policies. Responsible for loading, underwriting and approving consumer loans.

QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate will be responsible for assessing risk on potential member loans. This presents an exciting opportunity for a talented, self-directed, motivated candidate to work in a creative and collaborative team environment.

Advanced education is preferred. Candidate must have a minimum of three to five years of underwriting experience with risk-based lending. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel and Word. The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and Spanish speaking is a plus. Experience with ALPS and/or FSP software program and DMV processing also a plus.

The candidate must be self-motivated and possess strong people skills, with a positive, can-do attitude and be available to work any shift between 7:00am and 7:00pm.

FULL-TIME – REAL ESTATE LOAN UNDERWRITER
EL MONTE BRANCH

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: The candidate will analyze loan requests and make credit decisions in compliance with Federal regulations and credit union lending policies. They will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating information on mortgage loan documents to determine if member, property, and loan conditions meet bank and regulatory standards. Approves or rejects loan applications, or requests additional information. Establishes terms and conditions of an approved loan and reviews with member. Candidate will also be responsible for producing final loan documents to be signed in escrow in addition to assembling final signed loan documents and ensure they comply with company policy requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Candidate must have a minimum of three to five years of similar or related experience. The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and Spanish speaking is a plus. Knowledge of FSP, Calyx Point and Servicing Director is also a plus. Underwriters are required to maintain an active and current license with the National Mortgage Licensing System while employed with Certified Federal Credit Union. The candidate must be self-motivated and possess strong people skills, with a positive, can-do attitude.

COLLECTOR

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Collections Manager, the Collector contacts members with delinquent loans for the purpose of obtaining outstanding balances.

SPECIFIC DUTIES: Contacts members to obtain short-term delinquent payments. Determines member’s status and gathers information. Arranges for payment-schedule to bring short term delinquent loans current. Assists in the provision of a monthly delinquency report.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must be current with all Fair Collection policies and procedures and have detailed knowledge and proven experience with collection activities. Must have a working knowledge of repossession procedures and skip tracing techniques. Must be able to handle a high volume of calls. Bilingual in Spanish and English a must.

EDUCATION: High School Graduate or GED and some college

EXPERIENCE: 5 – 7 years experience in Collections at a large financial institution or finance company.
