Important Information for You:
While October 16, 2024, marked the legal date for the merger, the transition of your accounts to Certified Federal won’t happen until the completion of system conversion on February 3, 2025. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make this conversion as easy as possible.
System Conversion Weekend: January 31 – February 3, 2025
- You will be receiving the following items in the mail:
a. Debit / ATM Card: January 20-30, 2025 (To be activated and ready for use on February 3rd)
b. Replacement Credit Card: February 8-18, 2025 (Only if you have an active Prospectors FCU credit card)
Note: You will receive your new Certified Federal credit card before it is ready for use. Please continue to use your current card until we notify you it is ready for use.
- Online Banking & Mobile Banking App Setup:
Important changes are coming to your mobile and online banking services:
a. The current Prospectors FCU mobile app and online banking services will no longer be available after January 31, 2025 at 5:00 PM.
b. You will not have access to online and mobile banking during the conversion weekend (January 31 – February 2).
c. Starting February 3, 2025, you will need to:

- Download the new MyCFCUMobile App
- Enroll as a new user
- Access online banking through https://cfcuonline.certifiedfed.com
- Set up your BillPay accounts

To ensure a smooth transition, please verify that your email address and cell phone number are current in our system.
- Update Information for any Payroll or ACH deposits/withdrawals
We advise updating all ACH deposits and withdrawals, such as payroll, Social Security, pensions, and other related transactions with your new routing information.

- New VISA Debit / ATM Card
If you have a checking account, you will receive a More Rewards VISA Debit Card in mid-January. You will not be able to activate your new card until February 3, 2025. When you activate your card on/after February 3rd, you can customize your PIN or select the same PIN as your current card.
If you have only a savings account, you will receive a new ATM card in mid-January. You will not be able to activate your new card until February 3, 2025. When you activate your card on/after February 3rd, you can customize your PIN or select the same PIN as your current card.
- Prospectors FCU Credit Card
If you have a Prospectors FCU credit card, it will remain active until late-February. We will notify you when you can begin using your new MORE Rewards credit card, which includes a non-variable rate and earns ScoreCard Rewards points for purchases. Your current balance and available line of credit will transfer to the new card.
- Weekend of January 31 – February 3, 2025
Throughout the weekend of January 31st, all Prospectors FCU accounts will be converted to the new system. On the morning of February 3rd, you will be notified of the completion of the account conversion and you can begin enrolling for mobile/online banking. Please activate your MORE Rewards Debit Card or ATM Card on February 3rd and begin using your new card at that time.
- Checks and Check Ordering
Your current Prospector’s FCU Checks will continue to work after the system conversion. If you would like to order additional checks, please contact us at 323.859.2250, Option 2.
Enrollment Instructions
To re-register using the mobile app:
- Download the My CFCU Mobile app which now has a black background.
- Open the app, and underneath the username and password fields, you will select the option that says Do not have an account enroll
- To enroll you will need your member number (this is different than your draft number), your date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY), and full SSN
- You will then be prompted to create a username and password.
- The last step is to check your email for a verification link to complete your registration.
To re-register using online banking on your computer:
- Visit our website www.certifiedfed.com and select Account Login
- At the Login screen, underneath the username and password fields, you will select the option that says Do not have an account enroll
- To enroll you will need your account number (if you are using your check book drop the last digit), your Date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY), and full SSN
- You will then be prompted to create a username and password.
- The last step is to check your email for a verification link to complete your registration.
