INVESTMENTS/NEW ACCOUNTS REPRESENTATIVE
EL MONTE BRANCH 

ROLE:  Assist new and current members with their financial needs by accurately opening new accounts as well as investment accounts, processing account transactions, resolving questions, identifying product opportunities and services to members. Also make outbound calls to existing members. Administer Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) program and respond to the investment related needs of members and employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Management of fiduciary accounts and execution of legal processes by performing all duties associated with assisting members in opening investment accounts, sending mandatory notices, tax notices, processing transfers, and researching disputed transactions.
  • Assists members with opening and closing accounts, answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve. Refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.
  • Researches all disputed IRA transactions. Posts adjustments to member’s accounts or explains transaction postings to member. Prepares any adjusting tax forms submission, as needed.
  • Identifies product promotion opportunities and services to members. 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:  One to three years of similar or related experience and certification/ completion of specialized training in fiduciary accounts is required.  A high degree of Emotional Intelligence and integrity is required for this position.  Must be able to work between the hours of 7am to 7pm at the El Monte Branch.

SALARY RANGE:  $21 to $31.55 Commensurate with experience

Certified Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced and motivated candidate to join our Operations Department at a credit union that has earned the highest rating in the country for its Safety and Soundness.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Accurately perform transactions via telephone, mail or in person with a positive and sincere attitude. Discuss products and services offered at Certified FCU and answer many different types of questions as they relate to members’ accounts. Solve issues for members with courtesy, professionalism and knowledge. Recognize fraudulent checks and counterfeit currency. Work efficiently and accurately.

QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate must possess outstanding communication skills while demonstrating a positive, upbeat attitude. Candidate must be willing to work a flexible schedule between 8am and 5pm. The candidate must also be able to handle confidential information with the utmost integrity. Previous cash-handling and telephone customer service with a financial institution preferred. Spanish speaking a plus.

Salary Range: $20.00 to $28.50 Depending on experience
